There is an interesting trend developing right now in colleges across the United States. There are more and more women going back to school. Even women who have been out of school nearly 20 years ago are getting back into the classroom. One of the first things I recommend that you do is to apply for government grants. These grants are usually awarded to people who are financially unable to go back to school on their own. After applying for grants, you want to apply for scholarships at your school you are attending. Then you want to apply for every single grant for moms and women that you can find. This is a great way to get money for college. Also apply for scholarships through larger corporations and organizations in your area.

3. Look for opportunities targeted for you online.
There is a common belief that scholarship money is only for academically gifted students and athletes. This is simply not the case. You can also get money for school for working adults like yourself. Check with your employer about scholarship opportunities you can get. If you are a valued employee of your company, you might be able to get money for college!

Scholarships for women over 35 are available in record numbers this year. The stimulus package passed by Congress has allowed many working adults to go to school for the first time. Apply for every offer you can find, and you will have a great chance to get money for college!
