Federal Pell Grant - The Federal Pell Grant program is a post-secondary, educational federal grant program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education. This type of grant is usually awarded to undergraduate students - those that haven't earned a bachelor's or graduate degree. The maximum grant amount for the 2008-2009 year is $4,731 and will increase to $5,400 by 2012.
Academic Competitiveness Grant - The Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG) is a federally funded grant program, new for 2006-07 that qualified students may receive for no more than two years. The maximum 1st year ACG is $750 per academic year ($375 per semester at CSUF). The maximum 2nd year ACG is $1,300 per academic year ($650 per semester).
TEACH Grant Program - The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program, provides up to $4,000 a year in grant assistance to students who are completing or who plan to
complete course work needed to begin a career in teaching. Students must have at least a 3.25 GPA for each payment period to be eligible.
